A new Indian restaurant is about to open in a now bustling shopping center in Reading town centre.

The Indian restaurant Bombay Brothers will occupy a place in The Village shopping center, better known as King’s Walk.

They will occupy Unit 4 of the mall, which would be located on the upper level of The Village, a section of the mall once occupied by Italian restaurant Dolce Vita and Thai restaurant Art of Siam.

The doors to Art of Siam opened when the Local Democracy Reporting Service walked through the mall today (Tuesday July 12).

Ahead of the opening, Bombay Brothers has applied to sell alcohol on-site and take-out from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

A growing number of global restaurants have opened in the mall since 2019.

New occupants include Ding Tea, My Warsaw Polish street food, Vietnamese restaurant Banh Mi QB, Ji The Chicken Shop and High Spirits Cocktail company.
