Indian restaurant with “ridiculously low” prices ranks as the best restaurant in Hull


A “ridiculously low” priced Indian and barbecue restaurant was rated the best restaurant in Hull for its innovative dishes.

The Crooked Skewer, on Princes Ave, between Sculcoates and The Avenues, specializes in high quality modern Indian cuisine and inexpensive barbecue dishes.

In addition to a range of curries and street food including Goan Lemon Fish Curry, ‘Gunpowder’ Jalfrezi, and Honey Chili Chicken, there are also ‘world barbecue’ options such as the “Egyptian chicken” and the “Brazilian beef”, as well as the creative smoking desserts.

Its owner and chef Aminul Choudhury has been inundated with positive reviews on our partner website 2Chill, with visitors claiming it serves “the best food in Hull”.

They are also currently offering a ‘Bottomless Dinner’ lunch and dinner package including its options of world barbecue and Indian street food, with dinners Sunday through Wednesday priced at £ 13.95 and Thursday through Saturday at 4pm. £ 95.

The Crooked Skewer serves a variety of grilled ‘world barbecue’ meat options, as well as curries, salads and more.

Children under five eat for free as part of the “Bottomless Dinner” option, while children under 10 eat half the price.
