9 Curry’s, based on Folly Lane, opened its doors after more than two months of renovations.

“It looks smart because we have renovated it a lot,” said owner Choudary Waqar Dhudi.

“I think we have one of the best spaces and facilities in the area.

“We can also accommodate more than 100 people in the restaurant.

“The chef is from Manchester and he has 23 years of experience in Indian cuisine, which shows how good he is. He knows what he’s doing.”

9 Curry’s hosted family, friends and advisors for opening night.

The 39-year-old continued: “It’s huge to be open now.

“When I spoke to the local community, they felt they had never had this taste before anywhere here, which gives us a boost.

“It tells us there is potential, but actions speak louder than words, so give us a try.

“There is a lot of potential in the market.

“We are just here to do our part, we are not rivals.

“We would love to work with the community, see ourselves grow and provide much better food than anyone else.”
