Uttar Pradesh Minister Anand Swarup Shukla said Lord Ram, Krishna and Shiva were the ancestors of Indian Muslims and that they should bow to “the land and culture of India”.
In provocative remarks here, the Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath have overcome the mindset aimed at creating an Islamic state. in the country by hoisting the flag of Hindutva and “Indian culture”. .
Presenting the account of the work of the Adityanath government over the past four and a half years to the media on Thursday evening, Shukla said, âThe ancestors of the Muslims of India are Lord Ram, Krishna and Shankar (Shiva). They don’t need to see the land of the Kaaba. These people should bow down to the land and culture of India.
After Syria and Afghanistan, some people from different countries want to make the world an Islamic state. Some in India also have this mindset. But, the Central and State Modi and Adityanath governments have hoisted the flag of Hindutva and âIndian cultureâ in the country and conquered this state of mind, Shukla said.
Referring to the controversial posters placed recently in Sambhal, Shukla said they were a result of the Samajwadi party’s support for Islamic terrorists and its deputy Shaifur Rehman Barq’s statement supporting the Taliban.
Posters labeling Sambhal as the land of âghazis,â an apparent reference to Islamic warriors, had appeared ahead of AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi’s meeting earlier this week.
The BJP strongly opposed the posters, after which they were taken down by workers of the All-India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM).
Shukla said the ghazis have been completely eradicated from Uttar Pradesh. Such powers will not be able to lift their heads in the future, he said.
Attacking Owaisi, Shukla said his ancestors wanted to make Hyderabad a separate nation but could not be successful.
“There are still people with such a mentality. They are stupid people. Their ancestors became Muslims out of fear. This kind of thinking cannot flourish under the Modi and Adityanath governments,” he said.
