Summer has gotten much hotter with popular Indian restaurant Asha’s reopening to the public in August. To celebrate its reopening after a stunning renovation, the restaurant at Forty Seven Hotel invites guests to be among the first to experience the next generation of Asha’s.

Founded by Bollywood legend Asha Bhosle, Asha’s offers classic Indian cuisine – and even a very creative Indian-inspired Sunday roast. From butter chicken to the famous Vindaloo, there are plenty of curries to choose from, with lamb, chicken and prawns taking center stage. The restaurant promises to take diners on a journey through India’s North West Frontier Province – with lovingly prepared dishes from The Life of Asha Bhosle.

However, Asha not only presents guests with a whole new look, it also opens alongside a stylish new bar concept, The Peterman, which is set to become an exciting new addition to Manchester’s Peter Street. The bar promises a nod to tales of the past by refocusing the stories of Petersfield, adding its own twist, like that of a lemon in a good martini.

Additionally, Asha’s is hosting an exclusive event on August 15 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of India’s independence, where guests will be treated to a sumptuous evening of entertainment and authentic Indian flavors. India’s Independence Day is celebrated around the world every year on August 15 and marks the anniversary of the nation’s independence from the United Kingdom.

From 6pm, welcome drinks will be served at The Peterman Bar, a haven of elegant luxury and opulence, and here guests are also invited to listen to traditional Indian music from Asha’s Dhol players and be introduced with beautiful garlands of Gajra flowers. At 7:00 p.m., guests will be taken to Asha’s, where they will enjoy a contemporary three-course feast, with delicious and flavorful dishes prepared by Asha’s new chef, Rajesh Bhatt.

This is an exclusive ticketed event, where seats can be reserved up to tables of seven people here. A ticket to this event includes an arrival cocktail at the Peterman, poppadoms served with a selection of homemade chutneys, and a three-course Asha dining experience.

The restaurant will reopen from August 10 and you can reserve your table at Asha here.

Asha is at Forty-Seven, 47 Peter Street, M2 3NG
