Aangan, which means courtyard in English, is considered a warm and welcoming dining space where food is shared and enjoyed with family and friends. Featuring an open-air terrace, it majestically overlooks the turquoise waters of the The Gulf of Oman. Drawing inspiration from the heritage of Oman and the homeland of India, the high ceilings and artistic archways create a wonderful sense of place. Guests enter the dining room through the large double doors flanked by bold blue curtains, inviting diners to step into another world and experience the heartfelt hospitality that Shangri-La is famous for.

Indian cuisine is complex and steeped in tradition, but thanks to Aangan, I am able to present Indian cuisine in a new light. Using fresh locally grown produce, authentic Indian spices and innovative cooking techniques, I have evolved and refined the best in cuisine to create a truly unique contemporary menu.
