This week is National Curry Week and from TripAdvisor reviews it seems that one South Indian restaurant in Liverpool is a mile above the rest when it comes to customer satisfaction.
Khaja Indian Takeaway in Woolton has been around for over 15 years now and has built a solid base of loyal customers who can’t get enough of their tasty cuisine.
The family business spoils customers with a variety of curries ranging from Korma’s and Balti’s to Koria’s and Bhuna’s.
More recently, several new dishes have been added as the chef’s signature dishes.
These include a special Jhal Mitha chicken which is smarinated tandoori chicken trips cooked with thin strips of green pepper, onion, fresh cilantro with fresh herbs and spices, green chili, special hot and sweet sauce and a Special Garlic Balti which would be ideal for garlic lovers as it comes as a medium blend of herbs and spices with a touch of Balti sauce and lots of roasted garlic.
Jay Miah, the 44-year-old manager of Sefton Park previously told ECHO: “Our award-winning chef has 15 years of experience in some of the most prestigious Indian restaurants in the world.
“Khaja has become known as the best Indian take out in Liverpool, our reputation has been built on the quality of our food, excellent customer service and the design of the take out itself.
“The open kitchen allows our customers to see our staff at work, while savoring the essences of the fresh spices, which are used in all of our recipes.
“All of our food is freshly prepared on our premises. All food is cooked to order, which means the flavors in any food are second to none. “
With 160 reviews and a five-star TripAdvisor rating, this gem is a must visit for foodies.
A former reviewer said: “I have been here dozens of times now and it still does not disappoint. The food is absolutely fantastic, both the starters, the main courses and all the sides. Nothing has ever disappointed.”
While another, who recommended the butter chicken, added: “The staff are great and will also be flexible if you ever have any special requirements. For example, changing the curry sauce and / or adding things to the curry. . “
A third review said, “I tried Khaja for the first time. The food was amazing. I took a look at a previous review with a customer who complained about the oil in the food.
“I don’t know what meal he had, but I can guarantee that there were no oil problems in my Chicken Tikka Masala or in my Special Girlfriends Garlic Balti.
“From now on, it will be my new ordinary Indian.”
Another said: “Everything is always perfect from here. You can tell that special care is taken in preparing your meal, it’s great.
“I’ve never had a bad meal from Khaja. It’s always good. Lots of choices but I’m still drawn to the biriyani.”
With such great reviews, it’s no surprise that the place received the prestigious Good Food Award for Takeaways last year.
